The Caitlin is my take on an old school low wattage tweed with a two knob tremolo built in. Caitlin means pure and this amp is that. Nothing gets in the way of the tone. Controls are two bright channel inputs, two normal channel inputs, bright volume, normal volume, tone, speed and depth. Even though she is a 1x12, Caitlin is enclosed in a larger 1x15 (tweed pro sized) cab. This is the way they did it back in the mid-50’s. The sound is a lot bigger and louder than you’d expect from a 2x6V6 amp. The three preamp tubes are V1 12AY7, V2 12AX7 and V3 12AX7. In the amp featured in the photo, we have upgraded with NOS tubes (6V6, 5U4 and 12AY7), Mercury Magnetics transformers and tinted lacquer on the tweed. Also, she has a Weber 12A125 8 ohm speaker as well. And, as always, all other components are premium where possible (SoZo caps, Sprague electrolytics, etc).
Pricing is very dependent on options. [Priced w/ all options above, $1300] [$1200 with new production tubes]
